SHARC Service Tip: The Quick Approach system on Amada Saws is used to speed up cycle time. This is accomplished by the saw head quickly descending until the point of material sensing. The quick approach feeler is the contact point for this system and a worn feeler will allow the blade teeth to contact the material prior to the machine slowing to the cutting descent rate. This is essentially a crash and can severely shorten blade life.
