Service Tip: On Amada 407/457 Band Saws, the Motion Detector Prox is Behind the Wheel. When you install new bearings into your Idler Wheel you will change the position of the wheel creating a good chance you will hit and destroy the prox. SHARC Recommends backing the Proximity Switch out prior to your repair* then once the wheel is reinstalled and tracking adjusted, correct the Proximity Switch position for proper operation. *SHARC Recommends All Repairs be Performed by Trained and Qualified Technicians.
