Once any bearing play is present, the rollers cock to the side and the blade rides next to the roller cutting into the housing.
Note: Siezed bearing on the right.
Once the bearings seize and the roller stops, the blade is supported by approximately .062" of carbide which is not moving. The roller quicky grooves and places unwanted stress on the blade backing.
